The historic town hall was built around 1550. In the large town hall there is a replica of the oldest coat of arms in the city. Today the house is home to the burger registry office.

The first town hall was built in Romanesque style in 1224. Today only the massive field stone walls remain in the basement floor plan. In a third redesign in 1702, the town hall building received its baroque accents. Finally, in 1893, the third floor was added.
