Five paths intersect at the Russenkreuz, so the refuge and seating for hikers and bikers from all directions offer an ideal break. The place with the small hill, on which two chestnuts frame the small iron cross, remains somewhat nebulous. During excavations, there was no evidence of a burial mound suspected there, nor is it known what the name "Russenkreuz" refers to, it was simply simply called that way in the vernacular.
