Camels in the Swabian-Franconian Forest. Simply fascinating. An ostrich is also running around in the yard. Must see.

It is somewhat unusual to suddenly find yourself standing in front of Bactrian camels practically on your doorstep. Bactrian camels are adapted to dry areas. In the winter months they prefer to stay along rivers and in the summer months they migrate to the dry steppes and semi-deserts. The temperature fluctuations in their original habitat are remarkable, as they can reach between -30°C and +40°C. This means that they certainly feel at home here.
