Located near the village of Gschwend, on the second highest mountain in the Swabian Forest, the Hagberg Tower offers an unforgettable all-round view of the mountainous diversity of the Swabian Forest. When the weather is clear, the two viewing platforms offer views as far as Stuttgart, Heilbronn, Crailsheim and Aalen.
The Hagbergturm is 23 meters high and built as a closed timber construction on a reinforced concrete foundation. It is crowned by two Art Nouveau pagoda-like tops. A first viewing platform on the mountain was erected in 1901. The tower was built in its present form before the First World War and in 1936 it became the property of the Swabian Alb Association, which still looks after it today.
