Located near the village of Gschwend, on the second highest mountain in the Swabian Forest, the Hagberg Tower offers an unforgettable panoramic view of the mountainous diversity of the Swabian Forest. From the two viewing platforms, in clear weather, there is a view to Stuttgart, Heilbronn, Crailsheim and Aalen.
The Hagberg tower is 23 meters high and built in a closed timber construction on a reinforced concrete foundation. It is crowned by two pagoda-like essays in Art Nouveau style. A first observation tower on the mountain was built in 1901. Even before the First World War, the tower was built in its present form and in 1936 became the property of the Swabian Albverein, which still looks after it today.
