On the site of the current location, a picture from 1550 shows a mill that was called "Bocksmühle". It burned down and rebuilt several times in the following centuries and was sold and closed in 1956. In 1984 the area was acquired by a private person who renovated part of the mill as a restaurant in 1989 and still operates it today. The other area, especially the mill building itself is the owner's living area. The mill is not open to the public.
