The church is a stately stone building from the end of the 13th century and stands on a cemetery with a stone wall, on which the family grave of the von Winterfeld family with a morgue is located. [1] The mansard roof and the west tower with half-timbered upper storey and curved hood come from a renovation in the 18th century. The building was renovated by Bruno Taut in 1909/1911, with parts of the furnishings such as the gallery and the chairs being redesigned and partly redesigned. The cove ceiling was then painted with angels and festoons by Franz Mutzenbecher. A wall painting from the middle of the 15th century depicting St. George fighting the dragon has been preserved in an ogival wall niche
