The Church of the Immaculate Conception (Aukirche St. Mariä Empfängnis) is located in the historic center of Monschau, near the market square. It was consecrated in 1751. It was built in the 18th century as the church of the Franciscan monastery, known as the Aukloster. To this day, the church is regularly used for Catholic services and is open to visitors during the day.
