It has been enthroned on the Sauberg for over 20 years and offers hikers and day trippers a magnificent view of the entire area. The historic-looking building is nothing more than a replica of an actual charter that was built in the course of the Palatinate War of Succession in 1696. However, this was not near Schönenberg, but several kilometers further in the forest.
