This old quarry near Schmie is really unique. Birds, fish, horse and rider, woman with child and a few more figures have been carved out of the Sanstein. The work of art was created by the sculptors Sandra and Uwe Fischer in the 1990s.

Even though the path to the quarry is a bit hidden and you are on private property that you enter at your own risk, the trip there is definitely worth it. A truly impressive collection of stone works of art has been created here, which are spread over almost the entire wall of the quarry.
