St. Petri Church Ystad

The monastery church of St. Peter belongs to the Franciscan monastery Ystadt. The entire complex is now a museum.

The monastery church of Saint Peter is part of the former Franciscan monastery (Klostret i Ystad, Gråbrödraklostret i Ystad) in Ystad. The monastery now serves as a museum, but services continue to take place in the monastery church. The monastery is located in the northern part of downtown Ystad. Several gardens were created in the vicinity of the monastery complex, such as the rose garden, an apple garden in which there are apple trees, fig, pear, almond and walnut trees as well as lilac and mulberry bushes, the cabbage garden, the herb garden and the peony garden, which is behind the monastery pond is located. The entire area is very well maintained and beautifully prepared and invites you to stroll and linger.
