Beautiful maple avenue that gradually leads uphill to the Ostfriedhof. The maple trees here are finished with the shape "Rubrum" at the end of the trunk. The planting date could be in the late 20s of the 20th century. The circumference of the trees is approx. 1.80 m.

In 1932 the footpath from Blumenstrasse to the Ostfriedhof was laid out as a measure by the voluntary labor service to try to combat the high level of unemployment caused by the global economic crisis. Around 50 allotments had been planned on both sides of the path. The non-profit allotment garden association Gera und Umgebung e.V. wanted to build these gardens, which is why the path was given the name "Allotment Path" in 1933. The gardens were named after the Leipzig orthopedist Daniel Gottlob Moritz Schreber.
