At the beginning of the 19th century the chapel was enlarged by a porch.
The entrance portal of the extension was originally the gate of the Arenberg Castle. The original chapel was closed with a wooden wall with double doors, above which the following inscription is attached as a chronogram: HONORA VIATOR ORATORIVM S.ANGELI CVSTODIS = Wanderer, honor the place of prayer to St. Guardian Angels.
