About 800 sheep, two shepherd dogs, a few goats, a shepherd – in this constellation, hard-working herds of sheep move across the country in the Lüneburg Heath nature reserve – apart from a few weeks during the lambing season. Humans and animals cover up to 12 kilometers a day, and their "workspace" covers about two football pitches.
