Landcafé Krauthaus

There is delicious coffee and cake here, as well as a farm shop and a petting zoo.On Sundays when the weather is nice and sunny, it is unfortunately overcrowded and there is no place to sit

The Krauthaus Heesenhof is a destination for many bike riders on the Lower Rhine with a cafe and beer garden. Opening hours in the summer (April-October) from 10 to 20 o'clock, otherwise (November-March) from 10 o'clock to 19 o'clock at the weekend or from 14 o'clock to 19 o'clock.

The Heesenhof in Rheinberg has a new tenant.
We ordered two different dishes there with great anticipation, one the "Poacher's Pan" and one the "Our Thumbs" dish.
The result was unfortunately sobering. We had expected more from the new tenant. It must also be said that the previous tenant had set the bar pretty high. So, we both gave it a well-intentioned grade of 3 to 4 😔 Unfortunately, we also heard from the next table that the guests there were not entirely satisfied.
But we'll give the new tenant another chance and try out the cake selection next time.
