After the Rheinauen in Walsum we reach the Emscher Weg. The master plan for the Emscher from 2006 can be admired here. After years of planning and conversion, the dirty Emscher has become clean water again. If you want to see more of it, cycle the entire Emscher Weg from Holzwickede to the mouth of the Rhine.
