    This is a former pagan place of worship. Lorsch monks built here in 1350 a chapel, which was destroyed and rebuilt several times.         The Kreuzberg, popularly known as “Zur Eich”, is the local mountain of Hemsbach in the 340 m above sea level, which only got its name in the 14th century.
