The stage was built in 1906 and is one of the oldest open-air stages in Germany. In the past, various cultural performances with a special flair were offered here in a natural setting under the open sky. The Romantikbühne stage has seating for about 400 people. In addition to major plays, musical theatre and musicals were also performed on the stage.
In 2026, there will be no program on this stage, but an alternative program in the New Colonnade in the Kurpark.

Unfortunately, the whole area around the tower seems a little run down, there are chains of lights hanging from which perhaps every tenth socket still has a bulb, the wooden stairs around the tower are partly very rotten. But apart from that you can start a great tour from here with many vantage points and the first one is right in front of the tower with a photo frame, so it is still recommended.
