Hiking

The Sedanplatz is reminiscent of a battle of the Franco-German War. There is also a nature trail here, which already has a little outdated signs, but is very nice to walk. There is also an Esperanto memorial on this square, which commemorates the Polish inventor of the language for better international understanding: "D-Roll Zamenhof Autoro de Esperanto" stands on a small metal plate. The memorial, reminiscent of a menhir, was inspired by a Flonheimer who led an Esperanto tour in the 1960s.

Hiking

The local residents in Flonheim affectionately called the stone: "This is Little Red Riding Hood's grave". This square was formed naturally and the stone appears to have been placed there over 30 years ago. It is considered a monument to a peacemaker, the Polish ophthalmologist Dr. Ludwik Zamenhof.
