Inhabitants of the upper town of Burg once drove their cattle through the Kuhtor on the same Kuhturm, on the pastures in the field "Unterm Hagen". The Kuhturm, or Freedom Tower called, located in the immediate vicinity of the city wall at the end of the Freedom Street and was first mentioned in 1530 in a document. It has three floors, each with a "black kitchen" for preparing food and heating.
