The Ammerland already has a very well-developed bicycle route network, the most direct connection currently being the railway along the Bad Zwischenahn -> Oldenburg railway line. Only pedestrians and cyclists are allowed here. The problem, however, is that this route is on Deutsche Bahn property and may therefore not be available forever. An expansion cannot therefore be planned and may be permanent in the long term.
