    Ritterstein 273 winepress
    In the surface of the earth-bound boulder a rectangular treading basin for one of the first wine-growing palaces of the Palatinate is carved. Old pictorial representations on mosaics and reliefs clearly prove the function of this plant. The grapes were poured into the basin and then crushed with feet.
