A wooden sculpture of the most famous representative of the Reitzenstein family can be seen near the viewing point "Rodachblick". These had a decisive influence on the development of Schwarzenbach in earlier times. Hans von Reitzenstein cleverly managed to protect "his" territory from the desires of the Bishop of Bamberg in the west, as well as the Margraves of Bayreuth in the east, from attacks. After his death in 1519, however, the territory of the Reitzenstein family fell apart.
