Sleeping under the starry sky is unfortunately rarely possible in Germany. Therefore, enjoy this trekking site set up by the Franconian Forest below the Döbraberg. Here you will find floor space for four tents, a fireplace with benches, firewood storage, an outdoor toilet and a water barrel with process water. You bring the drinking water and toilet paper yourself.

Hiking

From the mountain guard hut, hikers can expect an overwhelming view to the west, which in good visibility extends to Veste Coburg, to the Gleichbergen, and even to the Rhön. It is one of the most beautiful viewpoints in the Franconian Forest. You should definitely stop here and enjoy the wonderful panorama of the Franconian Forest.

From the sunbathing bench at the Bergwachthütte you have a great view and here you can take a relaxing break. On Sundays the hut is usually open and you can buy drinks from the mountain rescue service.
