At this geological feature (see photo above) a granite formation stretches west like a tongue and ends on a steep cliff. The castle rampart on it was a place of refuge for the residents of the surrounding area when danger threatened. Due to the granite formation, the fugitives were protected on three sides by steep slopes and were only unprotected to the rear. At this point they built a wall. The wall was probably inhabited at times as early as the Bronze Age, as potsherds from this era were found. Later the Slavic Sorbs used the rampart. (Source information board information trail)

IMPORTANT NOTE: The small path from the parking lot ends after a few meters. Due to the designated protection area, the area may no longer be entered away from the paths, so that the ramparts can no longer be viewed.
