The Peine del Viento (Spanish for 'comb of wind') is an ensemble of sculptures by Eduardo Chillida based on the architectural work of the Basque architect Luis Peña Ganchegui. The three steel sculptures are embedded in the rocks above the water at the western end of La Concha Bay in San Sebastián and are even washed around by higher waves.
The three parts, each weighing ten tons, were approached by helicopter. Rails were built over the water on site, on which the “combs” were brought into the correct position and anchored in 1977.
