The view goes down into the valley to an idyllic group of houses in the lower village of Gettenbach. The distinctive house with the ridge turret is the village school used in the period 1840-1949. It serves as a popular holiday home. The Gettenbach lower village in its current structure only came into being after the end of the Second World War when people who had been displaced from their homes moved in
