    From wikipedia Erkelenz:"
The Blancken mill was built in 1799 as the last of the Erkelenz windmills, hence also called the Neumühle, by the couple Peter Blancken and Mechtilde Blancken. At the end of the 19th century it ceased operations. They and the Immerather Mühle are the only ones of 14 windmills that still existed in the Erkelenzer Land around 1900. In 1991, the mill, which had meanwhile fallen into disrepair, was restored to its original appearance by a private party and fitted with a new tower hood and wings. In addition to the stone year "1799", the tower bears the initials of the builders "MB - PB" as iron wall anchors, the hood the inscription "Bloes mech Doch jet". There is a restaurant inside. Meanwhile, a private investor is currently planning (autumn 2007) to acquire the Immerather windmill in order to save it from demolition and to rebuild it in Immerath (new) true to the original, where it will house a mustard mill. "

Beautifully restored mill. You just have to imagine the subway that is now in the basement.
