A real alternative to get from Rurich to Baal. The old terrace of the Rurtalbahn is absolutely flat. Loose, but good to be driven underground. Shaded by trees in the summer. Very nice to cycle.

The Jülich–Dalheim railway is a single-track main line, which was electrified in the Baal West–Ratheim section.
