Hiking

This hiking trail leads from the former free imperial city of Friedberg to the Barbarossa city of Gelnhausen, i.e. from the middle of the Wetterau to the Kinzig valley, which marks the transition to the Spessart.
The castle path was marked with a green (Andreas) cross by the Vogelsberger Höhen-Club (VHC).
It is number 11 in the hiking trail brochure of the VHC.
The path leads through hilly terrain, but is easy to manage, the steepest part leads down to Gelnhausen (or up from Gelnhausen!).
