Very nice view from the top of the tower over the whole region.
If you have a question, you simply turn to the man in the kiosk. Then you get everything "exactly" explained.

The climb is worthwhile - great views in all directions.

The kiosk in front of the tower has regional products such as honey and sausages, but also seasonal ice or mulled wine. On weekends was when we were there always open.

There is chestnut honey from the region to buy. Offered as a dark, strong and light, milder variety a delicious rarity.

Grandiose view over the Palatinate Forest and good food in the kiosk (during opening hours 😉)

Definitely the best all-round view on the Donnersberg!
Built in 1864, the tower is named after the Bavarian King Ludwig II.

My recommendation: First the 142 steps, then food and drink.
In addition to regional products to take away, there are also delicious homemade cakes, various meat dishes, various drinks, ice cream, and a delightful kiosk operator along with a relaxed dog.

On the Ludwigsturm you have in good weather a magnificent view of the surrounding villages and the Palatinate Forest

Nice walkable tower on the hill of Donnersberg. At the Ludwigsturm there is a kiosk and a few benches with tables that invite you to rest. The Keltenhütte is also very close by

Always worth a visit, the Ludwigsturm. And if it's only because of the nice kiosk operator ;-)

Amazingly, it wasn't that full this morning - despite Easter Saturday. Today we weren't up to the tower - we already know it, but of course we still had to take a short break at the kiosk. You can still buy regional products here, such as sausage, honey and the famous sheep cheese
