Bike Touring Highlight
Its name, contrary to what legends say about it, is due to the color of its waters which take on an almost milky hue due to the presence of glacial silt which is constantly poured inside by its inlet which descends directly from the surrounding glaciers .
Its emissary instead, the Rin da Gavia, descends to Valfurva through the whole valley.
It has a maximum depth of about 7.50 meters and, along its banks, you can find numerous typical high altitude marsh flora. Also worth seeing is the splendid carved wooden crucifix that stands out mirroring itself in its waters.
