There used to be a busy industrial port here, but operations largely came to a standstill with the division of Germany. The first conversion took place in the 1980s: New residential buildings were designed by well-known architects as part of the international building exhibition.
In the meantime, the old harbor with its idyllic location between Tegeler See and Tegeler Fliess has become a trendy residential area. There are not only elegant city villas on the shore, but also the so-called 'Floating Houses'. If you stroll through the harbor here, the modern architecture reminds you more of Copenhagen or Stockholm and you quickly forget that you are still in the middle of Berlin.

Here are houses for a sophisticated lifestyle right on the water - where else can you find water plots less than a five-minute walk from the nearest underground station?
Even if I could never buy an apartment here, I am happy to see how beautiful it looks here.
From the Greenwich promenade you come across the harbor and the harbor basin on hiking trail 13, which leads through the Tegeler Fliess and Lübars.
