The Michaelisstift and the chapel date from the beginning of the 17th century. The chapel was built by master builder Johannes Conrad Schlaun and inaugurated in 1727. First it was intended as a widow's seat, later it was a hospital and orphanage, then an old people's home, which was closed in 1995. The Carmelites lived in this building from 1998 to 2013. It was last used as refugee accommodation. St. Michael, who has victoriously defeated the dragon, can be seen above the entrance door of the chapel.
