The border ditch separated the Speyer prince-bishopric from the Margraviate of Baden-Durlach and probably dates from the 18th century.

The "Landgraben" used to be the border to Speyer. The border ditch can still be seen today. You come here on an unpaved forest path or via a beautiful meadow path to the highest point of the Heuberg. There is also a Dreimarker nearby.
Not to be confused with the Landgraben in Karlsruhe, which is still used for drainage today.
