The idyllic and up to 68 meter high Püttberge in the nature reserve Wilhelmshagen-Woltersdorfer Dünenzug do not consist of boulder marl like the Müggelberge further south on the other side of the Spree, but of drifting sand that was deposited in the Berlin glacial valley during the last ice age.
