Hiking Highlight

Overlooking keen skiers in winter, in snow-free months, hikes up Creag Dhubh provide the perfect opportunity to get fantastic views across wild Rannoch Moor and into the Black Mount Munros. Often combined with neighbouring summits, you can walk up Creag Dhubh from the resort or catch the chairlift up.
While this 2,454-foot (748 m) mountain is somewhat overshadowed by the dramatic Munros of Meall a Bhuiridh, Creise and Stob a Ghlais Coire, it’s actually a perfect summit from which to gaze at them. For those without the time or desire for a bigger day, the rocky hiking trails up Creag Dhubh mean you get the best of both worlds; a relatively easy trek and fantastic views.
With views north west to the tremendous form of Buachaille Etive Mor and east across Rannoch Moor’s phenomenal barren landscape, Creag Dhubh’s charm shouldn’t be underestimated. Summer brings the mountain’s wonderful flora bursting into life and long days with which to extend your adventure.
The resort has facilities and Glencoe is the nearest settlement with accommodation and restaurants.
