<< The Field of Stelae behind the Academy >>
"Relics of industrial buildings in the form of smaller foundations or pieces of wall, some with short steel girders and arranged decoratively like in a rock garden, are located in a large meadow area north of the Academy building. It is a project by the landscape artist Herman Prigann, who also created the "Stairway to Heaven". on the Rheinelbe heap. For amateur photographers, there are good motifs in this small area, known as a field of stelae or rubble field. A lookout tower on an earth pyramid offers a wide view over Sodingen, the academy grounds (however, the view is increasingly obstructed by the poplars) and the northern Ruhr area. A shopping center was built directly in front of the academy. The new area is connected to the town center via an open staircase and a large square. Unfortunately, this partially covers the interesting building on its "chocolate side". ..."

One can argue about taste. I can't get anything nice from the rubble field and I don't see any historical value in it
