The cemetery was established before 1811 and was occupied until the first half of the 20th century and then again in 1985 and 1986. Since 1895, the deceased Jews from Bruschied were buried in Hennweiler.

Hiking

In 1938 the cemetery was desecrated: the tombstones were overturned and the fencing destroyed. In 1939 the Jews had to sell their synagogue and cemetery to the political community. In 1939/40 the trees in the cemetery were felled by soldiers stationed in Hennweiler. The cemetery should be cleared and sold as building land. Some of the tombstones were stolen, some used as building material.
