Road cycling

The Looweg is a short cobbled road in the northern part of Gasselte town. It's only the first part of Looweg that is still cobbles today, the rest of the Looweg is asphalt through the fields. Nice to ride, bit bumpy though!

If you come from the north with a group: Pull the (slightly descending) sprint before the sign Gasselte and surprise the sprinters with 200 meters of cobblestones at full speed almost immediately after the sign :-)

The flints (Drenthe for cobblestones) are quite skewed and the strip is not too long, so easy to do.
