Tips
The Bokeler Heide nature reserve is located in the municipality of Sprakensehl, north of Hankensbüttel and southeast of the village of Bokel in the Südheide natural area and is around 18 hectares in size. Due to the nutrient-poor sandy soils and the historical forms of land use, heather has developed as the predominant biotope type, partly with juniper stands and dry bushes. Older birch and pine trees are occasionally found.
