On the southern heights of Wuppertal you walk on this section through the recreational forest of the then city of Barmen (founded in 1929). Even then, the residents found space to switch off and quiet paths past streams and forests. Above an allotment settlement near the Lichtenplatzer Bach, you have a far-reaching view over the district of Unterbarmen. This area still has its charm today: the parks laid out back then leave nature alone and ensure that every walker or cyclist can enjoy a large portion of relaxation.
