Via a spiral staircase in the tower one arrives after 35 steps to the lower observation platform, which lies above the oblique supporting pillars in approximately 6.5 m height. Another 133 steps lead to the upper platform, on which the staircase exit is protected by a lockable metal superstructure.

Maren wonderfully described all the facts. Top! Before Lothar, my hikes to the tower always looked the same. Dark dark through the narrow spruce and fir trees along the way and only immediately in front of the tower, it was light and you could see the truly beautiful stone tower. At night walks in my youth, this was all the more impressive. Nevertheless, I find the view today from the rest area very nice why I have adjusted to the many great pictures of the tower a few that show the impressive nature here in the northern Black Forest around the height.

Perfect mountain for surroundings and direction Rhine Valley with free tower.
Very interesting how the windworm surfaces of Vivian, Wiebke 1990 and Lothar develop in 1999 - finally more deciduous forest, not always this spruce monoculture as in the northern Black Forest unfortunately still common ...
