February 6, 2021
Although it actually hides a little, this castle ruin doesn't really need to. In contrast to its much better known neighbor, the Schriesheimer Strahlenburg two kilometers further north, the Schauenburg cannot be seen clearly from the Rhine plain. Nevertheless, it still offers imposing, massive walls and, above all, a beautiful view of the Rhine plain.
February 12, 2021
Beautiful castle ruins with signs explaining the essentials. For inquisitive children (and those who have stayed) naturally ideal. The bridge is accessible and the area makes a very well-kept impression. Lizards can be seen on the stones in midsummer.
