It was conceived and created by father and son Majorelle in 1919. The Jardin Majorelle was bought and restored in 1980 by fashion designer Yves Saint Laurent. The radiant blue, which is reflected in different gradations in many of the buildings and planters, is breathtaking, and the shady paths through the plants are a blessing on particularly hot days.

Beautiful garden with history in Marrakech directly.
However, more impressive is Andre Heller's nature and art park ANIMA, about 30 km south of Marrakech. Admission 12 €, but includes bus transfer from Marrakech (behind Koutoubia Mosque) and back. With drive you should however have 5 hours for it time.

        Admission fees for adults:
        - Garden only: 70 dirham (about 7 €)
        - Berber Museum only: 30 dirhams (about 3 €)
        - Yves Saint Laurant Museum: 100 dirhams (about 10 €)
        - Combined ticket: 180 dirhams (about 18 €).

Children under 12 years are free of charge. At 11 o'clock we had to queue for half an hour. There was also a counter for reserved tickets, maybe you can pre-order tickets in advance on the Internet. It was already crowded in the garden.

        Opening hours for the garden:
        October - April: 8:00 - 17:30
        May - September: 8:00 - 18:00
        Ramadan: 9:00 - 17:00
