The main hiking trail from KU to KC passes right next to the quarry. It is marked as the Burgenweg, Frankenweg and Frankenwaldsteig. This section is particularly beautiful.
If you are careful, you can walk a few meters from the top of the quarry to the quarry despite the prohibition signs on the hiking trail and take a rest on the boulders lying around. But be careful of the edge!!!
