In the past century, there was a conflict of interest between the miller and some upstream bathing peasants. These dam up the brook to let their meadows temporarily flood, whereby the enterprise was considerably limited. After lengthy legal proceedings, the miller was granted the sole right to power in the bathing area and the farmers had to remove their dams again.
