Entlang des Brodenbachs

The source of Brodenbach lies in the north of the Boppard district Buchholz at about 372 m above sea level. NN. From there it flows, without crossing any other villages, mainly in a westerly direction through a narrow valley. The narrowest section is known as the "Thunder Hole," a cascade group that has only survived in parts since a blast in the 1960s for a forestry trail. The Brodenbach flows on both sides only short watercourses. It flows in the north of the village Brodenbach to 95 m above sea level. NN in the Mosel.

The Brodenbachtal is quite nice - but there are quite worth seeing water stretches / sections in the area. In my opinion, a long journey for this valley is not worth ...

Small notch canyon. Easy to go. Undemanding, but very nice. Quaint and natural. The mountain gorge path runs there, a premium path. This is very varied and beautiful.

Very nice area for walking. You walk through a gorge with a flowing stream, waterfalls and rocks. Fairytale.

Wonderful noise of the stream. If you look closely, you can see the leaching out of the water.

This brook accompanies you almost all the time. There are countless small "waterfalls" ... totally relaxing.

I find remarkable the open geology. The fine slate layers are here by tectonic folding practically vertical and are washed out by the Brodenbach and erosion.

Steep rocks, rippling water, breathtaking fauna

A pretty little wild bubbling brook. A beautiful valley - if you are in the vicinity, is definitely worth a tour through the valley.

Very nice section always close to the water! The way is good to go! To the Grünemühle, then there is a somewhat steep climb!

This route is recommended to get from the Moselle to the Hunsrück Heights. It is characterized by a continuous increase in charming nature.

From the shelter of the volunteer fire brigade there is obviously no GPS reception. And it didn't get any better in the whole valley.

A very beautiful brook valley, the Brodenbach ripples almost constantly next to the hiking trail.

Not as wild as the Ehrbachklamm, but also very beautiful. Further upstream, however, it becomes a bit more monotonous.
