The Ehrenburg is the ruin of a spur castle at 230 m above sea level. NN near Brodenbach with a quite varied history. It was built on a rock spur in the Ehrbachtal, a tributary of the Moselle. Once the fortified center of a small imperial rule with possessions between Lower Moselle and Middle Rhine, today it is a cultural monument with a variety of events.

Very well-preserved castle that can be visited from Easter to All Saints Day. There will be a bridge toll (entrance fee), which will be used to maintain the castle. Money is exchanged into dollars and then you can eat (the cheese Spätzel I highly recommend) and drinks.

The ascent to the castle tower is worth it! A very nice all-round view is the reward.

The Ehrenburg offers a medieval ambience in a large, soaring complex. Funny is the spiral indoor staircase and the twin tower.
At some point I have to go putty ;o)

Great castle, with a lot of charm, the 4 euro entrance fee is worth it, dogs allowed everywhere.

An impressive castle - but we didn't visit it because we were too broken at the end of the dream path, so you should take a little more time here.

It was built in 1160 by Kurtrier as a border castle. All sorts of changes occurred over time. It now houses a hotel restaurant and presents itself as an adventure castle with knight games.

The current "bridging fee" is 4.-€, these are worth it.

The gastronomy in the courtyard of the castle has a small menu, but obviously everything tastes good and the prices are reasonable.

Great castle that resembles a knight's castle, 4 euros entry and you can move freely in the castle. Dogs allowed everywhere. The nicest thing is you can walk up the tower, be careful, the stairs are a bit special.
