In 1919, Wilhelm Gratenau commissioned the Hamburg architect Erich Elingius to design the Lindenhof as a mansion on the western bank of the Bredenbeker pond. Two golf clubs have been established on the Lindenhof estate since the 1960s. The two 18-hole courses shape the landscape with their stately vegetation on long stretches of the paths around the pond.

According to the information board on the lake opposite, there should be apartments in the house. Unfortunately, however, it looks very deserted. Nevertheless, the building is a real gem!
