After a longer break, today we went again on the Waldschläger hiking trails through the autumnal Rodenbeker Quellental. The stone signposts unfortunately left a lot to be desired on this walk and we had to use the old “boy scout map” (see photo) as a help.Start and finish: Rodenbeker Straße car park at the Quellenhof Inn (with new operator - not yet tested)

      (alternatively: U-BAHN HOISBÜTTEL + 15 minutes walk)
Because of the nice weather and the threat of curfew, there is a lot of activity on the otherwise quiet Walddorf hiking trails * today. The motto today: pure nature. No cars, no houses, varied landscape, nature reserves, streams, small lakes, moor - everything included. Really nice here and yet so close to the city. Clear recommendation!* For information on this please see tour from 1.1.2020.

Saturday. TheStart and finish: Small parking lot behind the STOCK's restaurant (Kupferhammer / Poppenbüttler Hauptstraße)It goes straight into the beautiful Alster Valley towards the Alster Run, which we will soon cross over a small bridge. The path leads directly past the MELLINGBURGER SCHLEUSE (with the same restaurant with a beautiful garden terrace). The Alster hiking trail runs more or less parallel to the course of the river until we leave it and take the HUUSKOPPELWEG into a quiet residential area with old trees and some. Turn cobblestone streets. We turn shortly afterwards into the ÖDENWEG. From here it always goes straight on. We cross the busy LEMSAHLER LANDSTRASSE

It continues on the 3Ws *. And again in Volksdorf! So easy to reach again with the "public transport". Start and finish either subway VOLKSDORF or MEIENDORFThe tour overlaps in a very small section with the first LAST EXIT VOLKSDORF TOUR from 2.2.2020. Contrary to the recommendation, we start “in the middle” on Saseler Weg. Here we follow 81 directly into the Volksdorfer Teichwiesen nature reserve. A small nature trail accompanies the way towards the Volksdorfer Markt.Due to the new roundabout and the parking garage, the stone signposts are missing here. You cross the roundabout at the train station and take the path to the police along the parking garage through a small park. At the next roundabout it goes under the railway bridge and then directly into the Volksdorfer forest. The path leads across and comes out again at the climbing park and the MEIENDORF subway. After crossing Farmsener Landstraße, a short left / right combination takes you down into WIESENKAMP towards Amalie Sieveking Krankenhaus through quiet residential streets. At the end of a cul-de-sac, the path leads back into nature past paddocks and a large meadow. Very beautiful here! In front of the "Schemmann-Palais" the path leads back to the pond meadows via the Saseler Weg.Conclusion: after all the rain, a small, varied, muddy lap* WWW? World White hiking? It continues on the forest village paths (WWW's *).The start and finish is the Volksdorf underground station, which is ideal to reach by public transport. From the train station it goes through a small green area past the swimming pool towards the museum village (a visit on the way there or back is really worthwhile!).We continue to march on the "pastor's climb". The "Allhorndiek" pond is on the left. On side streets and connecting paths through a 90s settlement you get to the visible outskirts. It goes a bit along the Buchenkamp street and then a path turns left into nature. At the small pond “Kiebiztmoor Volksdorf” the path comes to Peripherieweg No. 1, which is also the Volksdorfer Rundweg (the one with the symbol V in a circle - also a very nice path!).We cross the Eulenkrugstraße and along side paths we head towards the Volksdorfer Wald, where the path runs across. Due to the lack of signposts, we get tangled briefly, but then we come back to the 1, which we leave at a fork straight away to come back to Volksdorf Mitte on route 82. This runs under the railway line. The path now runs parallel to the railway and Farmsener Landstrasse. Now just over the roundabout and through a small green area with a pond and we're back at the train station. Conclusion: city-country forest with museum village. Varied round. Unfortunately, some of the stone signposts are missing or the stones are twisted.* For more information on the WWW Walddörfer hiking trails, see the hike from 1.1.2020

Forest village tour no.3 (for more on the WWW tours see first tour description from 01.01.2020)
The starting point is the village center of Bergstedt. Because it has been raining for the past two days and we are not in the mood for muddy trails, we opt for an “urban” round today.
Passing the old, beautiful Bergstedter church, it goes through the Bergstedter Kirchstraße to the "landfill". A small dirt road starts here, which is a bit mushy after all. In the adjoining grove we are rewarded with a gray heron that flies past us very close to the small pond. Signposting with the field stones is generally quite good in this section. We only have to dig a corner stone at the crossing of Rodenbeker Straße. Then it goes on a narrow path at a forest house settlement down to the Alster. As a person who is not familiar with the area, you would normally not take this route because you think it ends in nothing. I think that's so nice about the WWW trails. You discover corners and paths that you would otherwise never walk, run into blind alleys that you would not dare to enter and in the end enjoy small stitch paths that lead you out again. When you arrive at the Alster run, you walk a little uphill into the city on the famous Alster hiking trail. This also leads through quiet residential streets, where you can have a little “house look”. We come out through a small forest above the “Alte Mühle” inn (refreshment stop is possible - beautiful beer garden at the mill pond in summer). But we take the beautiful Furtstieg, which leads directly back to Bergstedt between two paddocks. If it weren't for a winter break today, we would stop off at our favorite café in the forest villages for the “Golden Tapir”.Conclusion: Small, unexcited and varied afternoon walk with two nice places to stop for a bite to eat!

Contrary to our starting point (A), the best way to start the tour is at the OHLSTEDT underground station. A wide sandy path leads north opposite the train station. It runs in sight and later on the winding road "Timms Hege". The WWW field stones are easy to find and show you the way. Only now and then we have to take the old paper card to help and clear one or the other stone of leaves and moss (are there actually pocket wire brushes to fold in?). After crossing the Bredenbekstraße it goes into nature. A few villas line the way and we are in the beautiful RHODENBEKER QUELLENTAL. Here it goes over the wooden BREDENBEKBRÜCK on a curved path along the Bächleins of the same name until we come across a street again (WOHLDORFERDAMM). The small lake HÖRNDIES is opposite. On the "north bank" we hike towards the railway embankment and always follow it straight from the north, which is the most boring part, back to the train station.
Conclusion: Maybe it was the wet and cold weather, actually a nice little round ...
